What do we know about Dolley Madison?

Our December 1 Membership Meeting is packed with delights. We start with our potluck table laden with your favorite foods for celebrating. Note that we are starting a half hour earlier than usual to give us time to munch and talk. About 7:15, we'll hold our business meeting followed by a wonderful presentation by Jessica Michna.

Jessica needs no introduction, being well-known in our corner of the world for her very authentic enactments of famous ladies. She has been a treasured presenter of previous Preservation Racine programs, the most recent one showcasing Mary Todd Lincoln.

This time, she will highlight the legacy of the fourth First Lady of the newly formed United States of America: Dolley Madison. There's a lot to learn about this vivacious Quaker lady.

The next scheduled meeting will take place on Monday, February 2, 2026 (Groundhog Day, can you believe it?), as we don't meet in January. The program is to be determined. If you have any suggestions for future meetings, now is the time to make your voice heard. Just call or email me. Many of you have brought me great ideas, and I really appreciate them.
