WisconSing Program Starring David Drake
From the Domes of Milwaukee (and all-over southeast Wisconsin) to the shores of Racine, musician/folk singer David Drake, will capture the history of Wisconsin through song. Gathering around the campfire (i.e., Ihrman Hall at First Presbyterian Church), we will participate in music that is relevant to our past.
David, known as the gentle troubadour, brings a new way for us to learn history with several instruments as well as his trusty guitar. Expect a possible collection such as banjo, concertina, dulcimer, and Native American flute.
He has earned numerous awards including “Folk Artist of the Year” and “Family Artist of the Year” presented by the Wisconsin Academy of the Music Industry (WAMI). So, bring your toe-tapping shoes and your best voice to enjoy an evening of history the musical way.
Coffee and light refreshments will be served. Parking is on site and overflow at a lot across Park Avenue to the west of the church lot.
