Matt Sadowski’s “Cream City Brick Buildings”

Racine is replete with a wide array of cream brick structures that define the backdrop of the older parts of the city. And few know this better than our February speaker Matt Sadowski. Recently Matt completed an inventory of buildings that meet the cream brick criteria. “The goal of (this research) is to better understand its history and the extent of the use of the cream brick building material in Racine, and to design programs to promote its preservation and historical contributions to the community.” And he will share his findings with us at our February Membership Meeting. Co-presenter Anne Sadowski will accompany him.
